    Peter Fenton

    General Partner, Benchmark Capital

    Peter Fenton joined Benchmark Capital in 2006 after spending seven years as a partner with Accel Partners. Prior to joining the venture capital community, he was an early employee at Virage, a multimedia information retrieval company that went public on the NASDAQ in 2000. Peter also worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company in San Francisco. Current Investments: EngineYard, Lithium, New Relic, Pentaho, Polyvore, Terracotta, Twitter, Yelp, Zendesk and Zuora. Previous Investments: Coremetrics, FriendFeed (acquired by Facebook), JBoss (acquired by RedHat), Reactivity (acquired by Cisco), SpringSource (acquired by VMWare), Wily Technology (acquired by CA), Xensource (acquired by Citrix), and Zimbra (acquired by Yahoo!). Education: MBA from Stanford Business School, Arjay Miller Scholar; BA from Stanford University, Phi Beta Kappa.

    Mitch Lasky

    General Partner, Benchmark Capital

    Mitch Lasky has spent more than two decades in the mobile gaming, new media and interactive entertainment business. Prior to joining Benchmark Capital, Mitch served as executive vice president of Mobile and Online at Electronic Arts. Previously, he was chairman and chief executive officer of JAMDAT Mobile, Inc (NASDAQ: JMDT), the leading global publisher of wireless entertainment applications, which he joined as a startup in 2000, took public in 2004, and sold to EA in 2006. Prior to JAMDAT, Mitch served as general manager of eCompanies Wireless LLC, a startup incubator. He also spent five years at Activision, the world’s largest game publisher, most recently as executive vice president of Worldwide Studios. Earlier in his career, Mitch practiced intellectual property law, worked at the Walt Disney Company and started a massively multiplayer online game company.

    Peter Sonsini

    Pete joined NEA in 2005, specializing in software, systems and technology-enabled services companies. His current board memberships include Apprenda, BeachMint, BuzzMedia, Conviva, DeviceVM, Engine Yard, Eucalyptus Systems, MapR, and Tintri. Previous boards include Xensource (acquired by Citrix Systems) and Teracent (acquired by Google). Pete also serves on the board of the Software Development Forum (www.sdform.org). Prior to joining NEA, Pete was Senior Director of Strategic Alliances at VMware where he struck the company's OEM deals and grew annual sales through OEMs from $0 to $40 million in four years. Prior to VMware, Pete was one of the first hires on the business side at Mirapoint, where he ran product management. Pete also served in various sales and marketing positions in Hewlett-Packard’s server division, including Worldwide Product Manager for the mid-range server business. Pete began his career at Montgomery Securities where he was an Associate in the firm’s Technology Corporate Finance group. Pete received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and his BA in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley, where he lettered in varsity rugby and was a member of the national championship team.

    Jeff Lundsford

    Chairman and CEO, Limelight Networks, Inc.

    Jeff Lunsford is chairman and CEO for Limelight Networks, Inc. He has served in leadership positions in high-growth Internet and media-focused technology companies, including roles as Chairman and CEO of WebSideStory; CEO of TogetherSoft Corporation (acquired by Borland Software); and Senior Vice President, Corporate Development of S1 Corporation. From 1988 to 1994, Jeff served as a U.S. Naval Aviator and flew the F/A-18C Hornet as his primary aircraft. He is currently on the Board of Directors of WebSideStory and of Midtown Bank and Trust Company in Atlanta, Georgia.

    John has thirty years of experience building successful technology companies. He began his career as a systems engineer for EDS (Electronic Data Systems) and then held sales management positions at various high tech companies including Oracle Corporation. During the past 15 years, John has served as President and CEO for Hyperion Solutions and CEO for Salesforce.com. From 2002, John served as CEO for Navis, LLC, a private company, specializing in software systems for operating large marine container terminals and distribution centers. John holds a B.S. in engineering from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from Golden Gate University. He served on active duty in the nuclear submarine service for five years before beginning his civilian career.

    Tom Mornini

    CTO and Co-Founder, Engine Yard

    Tom co-founded Engine Yard to provide the infrastructure and support necessary to fuel the development of Ruby on Rails applications. He has spent nearly 30 years as a software programmer and software architect and 20 years leading companies as a serial entrepreneur. Prior to co-founding Engine Yard in 2006, he created FaceBridge Research, Inc., a billing service for video-over-IM systems, and InfoMania Printing and Prepress, Inc., an innovator in Internet print procurement. He also served as software architect at Quios.com, responsible for designing the platform that allowed the mobile messaging company to grow into a global provider with more than 130 employees.
