John Dillon, CEO
John has over 20 years of experience in executive leadership positions and has delivered several successful exits as CEO of well-known technology companies including Salesforce.com and Hyperion as well as Navis, the leading provider of shipping logistics software. Prior to his CEO roles, John held sales management positions at Oracle and Arbor Software and was a systems engineer at EDS (Electronic Data Systems). John holds an MBA from Golden Gate University and began his career with a B.S. in engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, serving for five years as an engineer in the nuclear submarine service.

Alan Cyron, CFO
Alan is responsible for the company’s finance and administration, human resources, and legal efforts. He has more than twenty-five years of financial experience, leading both public and private backed companies through growth and organizational change. After an extensive banking career at a predecessor of JPMorgan Chase, Alan has been the CFO of four companies, Paragon Trade Brands, Inc., MobileAria, Inc., Axis Systems, Inc and Navis, LLC. Prior to joining Engine Yard, Alan was CFO of Navis, LLC, a private company specializing in software systems for operating large marine terminals and distribution centers throughout the world. Alan holds an MBA in finance from New York University and a BS/BA in finance from Georgetown University.

Tom Mornini, CTO and Co-Founder
Tom co-founded Engine Yard to provide the infrastructure and support necessary to fuel the development of Ruby on Rails applications. He has spent nearly 30 years as a software programmer and software architect and 20 years leading companies as a serial entrepreneur. Prior to co-founding Engine Yard in 2006, he created FaceBridge Research, Inc., a billing service for video-over-IM systems, and InfoMania Printing and Prepress, Inc., an innovator in Internet print procurement. He also served as software architect at Quios.com, responsible for designing the platform that allowed the mobile messaging company to grow into a global provider with more than 130 employees.

Dixon Fiske, SVP Worldwide Sales
Dixon brings 22 years of high tech experience to his role as head of worldwide sales. Prior to Engine Yard, he ran sales for Nimsoft, a cloud and datacenter monitoring company, where he tripled revenue in three years and set the stage for CA's acquisition in 2010. Before that, he led HP Software's Americas Corporate Sales Division, one of the largest inside sales organizations in the industry. Previous experience includes sales management positions at Mercury Interactive, DoubleClick, Oracle, and AT&T. Dixon has a BA in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley.

Marcy Campbell, SVP Global Alliances and Business Development
Marcy manages Engine Yard business development and channel partnerships on a world-wide basis. Previous to this role, Marcy was Vice President of Sales at Engine Yard, and brings 20 plus years of sales management and business development experience from companies such as IBM, Lotus, @Home Networks, Moonlight Systems and Netscape Communications. Prior to joining Engine Yard, Marcy was Vice President of Enterprise Sales at Six Apart, ran worldwide OEM sales and business development for CA, and was an entrepreneur in residence for Bay Partners, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm. Marcy holds a BA in history and a BA in communications from the University of Hartford.

Bill Platt, VP Operations
A dynamic technology executive with 25 years of experience, Bill Platt spent the last four years at NComputing, a desktop virtualization startup, serving as the senior vice president responsible for product development and support for all virtualization client software and virtual desktop devices. Prior to NComputing, Platt was senior vice president of products at Wyse Technologies. His career also includes a 15-year tenure at Sun Microsystems where Platt built multiple businesses in the services organization for the Americas and Asia-Pacific regions, as well as serving as a vice president in the software business unit responsible for Solaris and the Java Enterprise System. Bill has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of Business.

Mark Gaydos, SVP Worldwide Marketing
Mark has more than 20 years of enterprise marketing experience. Prior to Engine Yard, he was Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at VirtuOz. Mark has also held a variety of marketing roles at successful technology companies, including Oracle, SAP, Tripwire and Comergent. He is also an instructor at UC Berkeley Extension where he has been teaching for over a decade—a course he founded on software product management and product marketing. Gaydos has an M.B.A. in management science from San Diego State University and a B.A. in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
