Overview
Riak contains a number of components that aid in the building and management of distibuted web applications and systems. Riak includes a key/value store, tools for building smart data distribution and replication across data centers, search and other querying tools such as secondary indices, Map/Reduce functionality for higher latency data processing tasks, as well as several administration tools that empower users to more easily build, monitor and extend their distributed application architectures.
